#HighlySensitivePeople #Introverts: Are you addicted to unhappiness?

Do you secretly believe that happiness is for other people—not you?

If you’re highly sensitive or introverted, you feel everything more deeply—including pain, disappointment, and loss. So it’s no surprise that some of us quietly believe we don’t deserve to be happy. Or worse, that happiness is dangerous.

Here’s the uncomfortable truth:
Some sensitive people are unconsciously addicted to unhappiness. It feels familiar. It earns us sympathy. It keeps us “safe” from the risk of joy—because joy can be taken away.

But here’s what no one tells you:
Your sensitivity is also the key to exquisite happiness. When you give yourself permission to feel joy—really feel it—you experience it more deeply than most people ever will.

The problem?
Many of us are stuck in old beliefs:

  •  “I haven’t earned happiness.”
  •  “If I get too happy, something bad will happen.”
  •  “People like me don’t get to be truly fulfilled.”

Here’s what I believe:

  • You were born deserving happiness.
  • You don’t have to “earn” it.
  • You don’t need permission.
  • And you can learn to feel better—starting now.

Start small.
* Choose one kind thought about yourself today.
* Surround yourself with people who honor your sensitivity.
* Seek help if you’re stuck—you don’t have to do it alone.

You can either protect yourself from happiness—or you can claim it.

What do you believe? Do you think you deserve to be happy?
Are you afraid to be?

I’d love to hear your thoughts—leave a comment below. I read every one.
