Highly Sensitive People/Introverts: Can you shift from sorrow to joy?

We’re all periodically visited by joy and sorrow in our lives. What we do with these experiences set apart the survivors from those who suffer or hold back. If you’ve never let yourself fully experience sadness, you’re missing one of the great character-building elements in your life. If you’ve never fully embraced joy, you’re missing one of the most potent building blocks to success and true happiness.

Grief is a normal part of life, the same as birth and deaths, but if you dwell too much on the sad times, you’ll never get to experience the joy that life has to offer. Sorrow can turn you into a bitter person and ruin what chances you have at true love and abundance. It can keep you from attracting positive forces that will enhance your life.

An easy way to become more interesting is to have a hobby. Highly sensitive people/introverts are naturally curious and usually have a vast number of interests. What are you interested in?  Do you share your passions with others? Are you a collector?

If not, you’re missing a perfect opportunity to attract the types of people who are “good” for you. By that, I mean that you can use your hobby as a vehicle to help you socialize with people who share your interests. Maybe your hobby can even be a catalyst to starting your own business or give you ideas that you may not have thought of. (more…)

Highly Sensitive/Introverts: Do You Have The Courage To Be Your True Self?

I’m a highly sensitive person that has many introverted characteristics. Social anxiety has always been a challenge for me. I went above my comfort zone when I facilitated over 40 HSP Meetup Groups through in- person meetings and teleconferences.

I had grown as a person by doing this. I learned that with some preparation and not being afraid to do something scary, that I could do something that I had a passion to do.

You can develop more courage when you learn more about yourself. You can do this by trying different things that you’re interested in, by reading, going to seminars, joining in-person groups,  participating in online groups where you can meet other people who share your interests, and talking to like-minded people. Highly Sensitive People/Introverts: Do You Have Brain Clutter?

Life can be full of worries, stresses, and endless things to do. Every day we are bombarded with thoughts of circumstances, plans, commitments, hardships or even ideas. As a result, the mind becomes cluttered with thoughts. Unfortunately, very little gets done when your brain is moving in many different directions all at once. If you long for some semblance of calm and clarity, then teach yourself how to free up mental space. With that in mind, here are some tips that help me unclutter my mind.
