Life can be full of worries, stresses, and endless things to do. Every day we are bombarded with thoughts of circumstances, plans, commitments, hardships or even ideas. As a result, the mind becomes cluttered with thoughts. Unfortunately, very little gets done when your brain is moving in many different directions all at once. If you long for some semblance of calm and clarity, then teach yourself how to free up mental space. With that in mind, here are some tips that help me unclutter my mind.

Cliff’s Priority #3 Doing what I was meant to do.

One of my priorities is to discover and fulfill my ever-evolving life purpose. At this stage, I feel that my “mission” is to create useful and inspiring content for highly sensitive people. Drawing upon my personal experience as a HSP, I want to help others realize that high sensitivity, once you understand it, can be used to your advantage. It’s very easy to become overwhelmed when you need or want to accomplish something. A task or objective might seem out of reach because of the many details involved. As a highly sensitive person, can you relate to this feeling?

How can you improve your memory at any age?

As highly sensitive people, we love to learn and think deeply, so improving memory and maintaining our brain power for as long as possible should always be a priority! I recently read an article by Drs. Oz and Roisen on improving memory at any age. Below are their thoughts:

Brain scientists love to say the brain is “plastic,” which means it’s flexible and capable of growing new cells and making strong new connections between them, at any age. That means brain-friendly lifestyle changes can help ward off memory problems. Here are some lifestyle upgrades:

  • Enjoy plenty of produce, lean protein, good fats, 100 percent whole grains, and a little fat-free dairy, while steering clear of added sugars, syrups, trans and saturated fats and any grain that’s not 100 percent whole. (more…)
