Do you think about too many things at one time? Does your ability to concentrate and focus seem compromised? Are you easily overwhelmed? As highly sensitive people, these are among the many questions that we must ask ourselves.

I’m guilty of all of the above mentioned road blocks to a peaceful and productive life! It’s easy to get caught up in our daily grind and lose track of what’s really important in our lives. Are friendships important? How many do you need? I personally don’t need alot of friendships, but a few different kinds of them. Here are some thoughts to think about:

Why are friendships important?

  • Studies show that people who have friendships live longer and have happier lives.
  • They can be positive support systems.
  • They are sources of satisfaction and joy.
  • They provide companionship.
  • You can share your feelings in good times and bad.

Do you hate “selling” yourself? It’s definitely a challenge for me! At first thought…Who likes to be “sold to?” On further thought…We’re all selling something, aren’t we? Selling is a form of communication that highly sensitive people need to learn. We also need to listen to those who try to communicate their message to us. Why not learn from others who are good at selling?

There are many ways that selling affects our lives. Here are some examples:

  • Selling yourself to yourself. It’s important to sell yourself to yourself. In order to make the best impression on others, it’s necessary for you to feel good about yourself. The way you feel radiates outward, and you’ll attract things into your life that match the energy you put out. Building up one’s self-esteem is a lifetime pursuit.
