Thanksgiving will be celebrated on Thursday, November 23th in the United States. It’s a time that we give thanks and appreciate all that we have. While it’s nice to have a holiday to remind us to be grateful, there’s no reason to focus our gratitude on just one day. Do you routinely take the time to be grateful for all of the good things in your life throughout the year?
Take a good look at your life, this includes your home, your friends, your family, place of work and other areas. What things do you like about your life? Write them down and add to the list. Refer to it often.
You can improve your life by having a more positive attitude towards it. Do you wake up in the morning looking forward to the challenges that the day will bring you? Or do you find that you are more fearful of what lies ahead for you? If the latter is true, then it’s time to start working on improving your mindset and learning how to be grateful for what you have and how you can improve upon it.
Your attitude will change when you refer to the above mentioned written list. If you think good thoughts, your mood and outlook automatically change. You’ll feel happier and others will notice this too. Your movements will portray your true feelings. Positive people will automatically be attracted to you.
It’s human nature to always think about those things you don’t like. Make a written list of these things. Now, write down how you can improve these things. It’s up to you to take action on it. Always remember to be grateful for those small things in your life, while you are working on improving other areas.
Do you feel thankful this year? I do despite some challenges in my personal life and the uncertainty of current world events. I’m thankful that my family and I and friends are doing well. What are you thankful for? How can you improve your feeling of being more thankful? I’m interested in any thoughts or comments you have.
Happy Thanksgiving To Everyone wherever you may be! Better times are coming and we will all be stronger in the long run.
