As highly sensitive people, our empathy can sometimes make us too available to the wrong people.

Here’s the unconventional truth I’ve learned through experience:

Not everyone who asks for your help deserves your energy.

Your insight is valuable.
Your attention is valuable.
Your emotional energy is valuable.

And it’s okay to be selective about where you invest it.

Helping the right people can feel deeply meaningful.

Helping the wrong people often feels exhausting.

Learning the difference is an important step toward protecting your time, energy, and peace of mind.

Today’s Brave Step

Think of one person in your life who consistently takes more than they give.

You don’t have to confront them.
You don’t have to argue.

Just begin with one quiet boundary:

Offer a little less access to your time and energy.

Sometimes protecting your energy is not selfish.
