#HighlySensitivePeople #Introverts: Does Fear Mean You’ll Die With Your Best Ideas?

Highly sensitive people are wired for creativity.
It’s in our blood.
Our nervous systems notice details others miss.
We feel deeply.
We imagine vividly.

So here’s the uncomfortable question:
Why are so many of us not creating?

We tell ourselves we’re too busy.
Too tired.
Not good enough.
Waiting for the “right” time.

But here’s the truth I had to face:
Fear of judgment was running the show.
And I was letting it.

When I put my writing out there—my blog, my book-in-progress, my newsletter posts—I knew some people wouldn’t like it. Some wouldn’t get it. Some would judge me.
I did it anyway.
Because waiting for universal approval is how creativity dies.

And here’s the other trap: distraction.
We say we don’t have time. But we always make time for what we decide matters—like eating, scrolling, or worrying.
So maybe it’s not a time problem. Maybe it’s a priority problem.

One of my readers once left a comment that hit me like a punch:

“I thought I was satisfying my creative urges… until I realized they weren’t mine.”

That made me stop.
How many of us are doing the “creative” things others expect of us… instead of the things that make us feel alive?

So here’s my challenge:
Drop the permission slip.
Stop waiting for inspiration—it comes after you start.
Create something today, even if it’s bad. Especially if it’s bad.
Make sure it’s yours.

Your creativity is a living thing.
Ignore it long enough, and it will wither.
Feed it daily, and it will change you.

What’s the first thing you’ll make—today?

If this resonated with you, someone you care about might need it too. Don’t wait—share it with them now. A few words at the right moment can make all the difference.
