Happy New Year Everyone! Are you ready for a fresh start or want to improve upon your current circumstances? If you’re like most people, you probably have aspects of your life that you wish could be different.
It’s a good practice to check in with yourself on a regular basis. The beginning of a new year is a perfect opportunity to take stock of your life, though it doesn’t have to be the only time you do this. Think about making improvements that will enhance your life throughout the year. What will make you feel better about yourself and your life circumstances?
Trying something new or moving out of a comfort zone is scary, and we can easily convince ourselves that it just isn’t the right time to make a change. The truth is that there will never be a “perfect” time to make all the changes that will make us happy. The key is to start where you are, and decide what you want, regardless of what else is going on in your life.
I know that change can be overwhelming for us highly sensitive people, but that doesn’t have to keep us from what we want. When you’re clear on your goal, have a strong desire to succeed, and arm yourself with a concrete plan, you can utilize your HSP traits, such as intuition, creativity, and common sense, to fuel your energy and conquer any roadblock that comes up.
Rather than putting things off or waiting for a crisis to come up that forces you to change, why not take steps right now? If you take a proactive rather than a reactive approach to life, you will feel much more in control of your destiny.
You deserve happiness! You deserve to live the life you want! This is worth repeating…One of the reasons people don’t think about making their lives better is because they feel that they don’t deserve it. You do deserve it! Don’t let anyone, including the voice in your head, talk you out of improving yourself!
Here are some questions to ask yourself:
- Can I make my own happiness a priority? Am I willing to commit the time necessary to decide what I want, both short and long term?
- Do I have dreams that I’ve put on hold, again and again? What holds me back?
- How can I motivate myself to go after what I want?
- Who can I partner up with, to give and get support, in order to manifest my dreams? Who will give me encouragement when my motivation lessens? Who can be I accountable to for my actions or lack thereof?

What small actions steps with a specific time element involved can I take RIGHT NOW to put me on my right path?
